Things change and things stay the same

So, after that prolonged absence, I'm back blogging. I'm also back in Bemidji. Nice place, this. My room needs cleaning, but that's okay.

First, the sad news: A friend of mine (not the one I thought at the beginning of break) is leaving the school. He's one of the guys that I'm always really comfortable with, and I'm sorry to see him go. Hopefully he'll come visit sometimes?

Then the frustrating news: The spacebar on my laptop keyboard broke. So tonight at 7:30 or so I rushed over to Walmart and got a new one. It's nice. I'm thinking that if I keep buying new bits and pieces, eventually I'll end up with a new computer. :) First a mouse, then a printer, then a hard drive, then a keyboard... who knows what I'll have to replace next?

My room desperately needs to be cleaned. Yes, I cleaned before I left, but I'm talking serious reorganization and perhaps (gasp!) packing up some stuff for storage/removal/tossing. I'm a pack rat by nature, so this is a big deal for me.

I left a bunch of stuff at home, including my Gamecube, scarf, and water bottle. Accidentally, I assure you. My dad's bringing said stuff up to me tomorrow when he goes to check out the house they're looking to buy. He and my mom have seen it once, but now he's going to check out the construction, see if it's well-built, etc. I was going to go look, too, but it's not going to work out. Oh, well.

I spent my first night back over at the house with the roleplayer guys and girls, playing board games and talking. It's amazing how easy it is to come back and feel like I can pick up right where I left off. It's also amazing how much I missed everyone when I was away. I also saw Erin today when she came to pick up some stuff I brought up for her. Tomorrow... need to see Sara, Alicia, and Tammi if they're not busy.

Also on tap for tomorrow: go get my stuff from my dad (he's dropping it off in Cass Lake for me), go buy my textbooks, and clean my room.

The glass candy I brought back with me went over really well with everyone at the house. I need to drop off more with other people now.

Also, I went grocery shopping today. I'm making a concerted effort to eat more veggies and fruits and whole grains (and less junk food), so my fridge is stocked with various fresh produce. And I bought a pomegranate. Cuz they're cool.

Speaking of food, I'm hungry now. Time for a snack? Oh, yeah...

Yup, I'll be in Contemporary Writers and Theory. Can't wait to see you!

And pomegranates are super-nifty. They just are.
