No more tests!

Wow... My finals are already done. I only had two tests--Milton on Monday, and German yesterday. I've still got short reaction things to write for a couple classes, but I'm done with the big stuff and it's like the world just got a lot lighter.

So I'm sitting here at work now, trying to concentrate on stories that I know aren't terribly urgent so I have a little leeway to goof off for a few minutes. The fluorescent lights in the office are bugging me today, which is a little odd because usually they're not a problem. But for some reason I can almost feel them poking into my eyesockets this morning. It's almost a headache, but more of a buzzing feeling in my head that goes away when I close my eyes.

I think I have figured out my optimal sleep schedule: wake around 9 a.m., in bed by 1 a.m. When I follow something close to that, I wake up feeling rested and awake and go to sleep without much in the way of insomnia. And fortunately, I can keep that exact schedule all next semester because my classes won't start until at least 10 or 11 in the morning.

Right now I'm still pretty sleepy and a lot of my joints and muscles are achy and stiff. But that will all get better. I will work for a while, and then I will go and proofread work for the New Voices magazine and then I will go home and sleep and clean my room and everything will be beautiful.
