It's not a rut yet... I need to keep digging.

[Listening to: Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Lodi"]

Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again...

I know Lodi. I've been there before. Lodi is that place where you get stuck in a rut and it seems like you'll never be able to pull yourself out. Lodi is Socorro, New Mexico. Or Bismarck, North Dakota. Or even right here in Big Lake. I go back to Lodi for a little while every summer, it seems. The world stops turning for a while and the days get long and interminable and I sleep till the afternoon because I can't bear to be awake for too long in the daytime. The sun's too hot and the horizion is too hazy. This'll happen around... oh... July sometime.

In the meantime, I've got my sister's graduation to think about. Yup, she gets her high school diploma tomorrow night. I'm all proud of her. So I've got to dress up nice for the first time in... forever, really, and go watch the ceremony. I dunno who else (besides my parents, of course) is going. Hopefully some relatives. We'll see. After this, we've got about two weeks to get ready for her grad party. The garage needs to be cleaned out and painted, and we need to go shopping to buy food for about 80 people. And get decorations together. I'll be a busy couple of weeks.

Speaking of Katie... check out her blog posting on "food porn". No, it's not dirty; that's just what we call the Food Network, among other things.

That's about all for today. If I have time tomorrow I'll blog some more. Adieu.
