The Cult of the One-Eyed Cat is an infrequently-updated yet highly entertaining blog, with content written by a small group of people. They tend to focus mostly around humor, and especially the sarcastic, ironic sort of humor involved in simply observing how stupid people can be sometimes.
This is truly a collaborative blog, with each of the members contributing close to equal amounts of material. I generally like collaborative blogs (I have to; I have one), and I especially like the ones that focus mostly on some sort of creative writing. There's even a post or two by Wil Wheaton (AKA Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, for those of you who didn't know... can't imagine why you wouldn't... yeah I know I'm a geek).
They also have a couple of recurring features. One is "Advice From...", where they write fictional characters giving advice to the sort of people who usually write into those love-help columns in newspapers and magazines and whatnot. Another common format for their posts is a letter to a particular person or company that just infuriated the author by doing some stupid thing or another. These are kind of cool, though the lack of frequent updates makes this blog feel more like an actual magazine or publication than it is a blog.
This is another blog that doesn't depend very much on links. The writing is the important part here; the occasional links usually only serve as ways to get to the author's personal page or back to previous related postings. Cult of the One Eyed Cat is very much self-contained.
Now that I think about it, these peculiarities leave me questioning whether this really is a blog as much as it is... something else? A 'zine? Not quite. In any case, it's interesting, viciously funny, and usually updated every couple of weeks or so, and I recommend reading it.
