Well... looks as tho my evening will be a quiet one. It's disappointing, but fortunately, I've got a lovely ball of soft grey (slightly tangled) merino wool that I intend to gently coax into a hat shape.
Or maybe I'll just curse at it until it ties itself into knots. You know, whatever.
I'm surprised at how smooth it is when it's knit up... silky, almost, which is a real trick with wool. Also, it's nice to be able to use my bamboo needles again... I've only got the one, a 16" size 7 circular needle (a luxury I indulged in when I made the kitty hat for my sister), and it doesn't see the light of day often enough. Though it seems like I'm starting to wear a little gouge in one of the tips. Hm.
