Writing

I've been either writing or napping since 2 this afternoon, and it's going surprisingly well. That story I started last night/this morning has gone from 2 and a half pages to five and a half. Granted, I still need another three and a half pages written before I go to bed, and I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to finish this story, but so far, I like it. Oddly enough, it's not the story I thought I'd be handing in for this class... I started a fantasy-type story about three weeks ago that I'd planned on finishing and turning in, but that never happened. I think it's partially because, after reading the stories that everyone else is turning in for class, I'd be a little nervous about handing in a fantasy piece among all the realism that's going on in there. Maybe next time.

In other news, I've got a meeting to go to at 8 tonight. Hopefully it won't eat up too much time, since I've got a good bit of writing still to do, plus other homework. Ick. For all the work I did over the weekend, I don't feel like I really got caught up at all. Dammit... And I've got another five semesters of this sort of workload to look forward to. Whee.

Oh, well. I do manage to have my fun. Too bad it tends to be at the expense of things like schoolwork and sleep. Mostly sleep. I napped for a couple hours this afternoon, and it was rather nice.

All right, I'll get another fifteen minutes of writing in before I have to go to my work meeting thingy.
