You know what I love about MPR?
They respect the bloggers.
It's really pretty awesome. I was listening to Studio 360 and On the Media on my way home (hard find something other than country to listen to up here in the northwoods). I counted no less than 4 mentions of blogs as media in the space of about an hour and a half. And more importantly, blogs aren't treated as a silly pop-culture fad, but as a real outlet for analysis and a way to keep the mainstream honest. Today's shows were focused on the presidential debates, and the mentions of blogs were mostly about people doing fact-checking on Bush and Kerry's arguments, and about the whirlwind of talk about how the president appeared to be wired for the first debate.
Granted, on my own personal blogs, I usually stick to non-controversial issues... but still, it's nice to see blogs getting credit for changing the way people think about current events and the like.
Note: I'd link to the transcripts of the shows, but they're not up yet.
