The evening's adventures

I went out today and bought myself some boots. Black Doc Martins. Nice clunky boots. I love em.

Also had to go to Coborns today to rent movies and buy ice cream. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday, so we're gonna make her a cake to go with the ice cream. Or, rather, Katie will make a cake while I stand around the kitchen and get ingredients for her. She's sort of the take-charge type in the kitchen. I'm not much of a chef, so I let her do what she wants, as long as she doesn't interfere when I want to cook (fajitas, spaghetti, whatever...).

I've got a bunch more cat scratches thanks to my cat Prissy, who apparently wants to kill my knitting. She just pulled out one needle, so I had to go and put all the stitches back on it. Lemme tell ya, that's a pain in the ass. See, they have this tendency to start to run, sort of like a run in a pair of pantyhose. Ever seen that sort of "ladder" pattern the run makes? It does that in knitting, too. Thank god you can go back with a crochet hook and pull the loops back up to fix it.

I'm getting real tired. Time to go get something to drink and maybe soon go to bed.
