It was pretty much sucky, the whole thing. I woke up feeling sort of lightheaded and dizzy and with a bit of a sinus thing going due to the damn ragweed or whatever that my mom says is in full strength around this time of year. I didn't feel much up to doing anything, so mostly I sat in my room, knitted a bit, napped (which thank God seemed to help my dizziness), woke up again around 5 when my mom got home, and went to talk to her. And here's where more bad news comes in: today, my mom was told (unofficially) that she'll be out of a job next June. It's not absolute yet, but she'll probably get notice sometime in early November.
Also, she told me that my laptop (remember that thing? I ranted about it crashing for a few weeks in late April/early May; it's not fixed yet) probably won't be checked out before next week, and I won't even know if it's worth fixing until then. After that, it'll take a while to actually get the job done, so I'll have to bring my old laptop to school. Granted, it's not too terrible, and actually sometimes works better than the new laptop (especially when the damn thing is broken), but it tends to choke on the internet since it wasn't built for the ethernet connection.
Also, my sister has a migrane. It must be pretty bad, cuz my mom just came down here about 20 minutes ago to make up an ice pack for Katie's head. Poor sis... But a perfect end to a perfectly crappy day.
