I'm so spoiled

So I'm home for the weekend, and while Dad was out helping Katie move in to her dorm, we went out shopping. I ended up with a full bag of groceries and a 12-pack of Pepsi that I didn't have to pay for. And then, before I even got here, my mother had already bought a huge box of Easy Mac and a big bag of Chex Mix for me. Plus I get two balls of grey merino wool yarn that my sister didn't want anymore, a new set of sheets that Mom go on clearance, and a small acrylic canister that mom says I can put my sugar in so I don't have to keep it in the dinky cardboard box that it came in. Please note that I didn't actually ASK for most of it. All I wanted was a box of granola bars and some aluminum foil (both of which were included in the bag of groceries, by the way). But when I come home after being gone for a while, my mom has a tendency to want to give me things.

Is it like that for most college students? It seems like a lot of people go home for the weekend and come back with a ton more stuff than they left with. I guess it's hard for moms to be away from their kids for too long, so they compensate by giving them stuff, doing their laundry, cooking for them... at least, my mom does. Um... yeah. I guess that's all I wanted to say. Maybe I'm just bragging. :) It's good.
